Notably The Melvins would play The Troubadour on 22 July 1997, with Yoko Ono joining the band for "HDYF" and "Rising". The recording stemmed from IMA and Melvins performing together at The Roxy, joining Yoko Ono and IMA for the last two songs. While credited to Ono and Sean Lennon, it has been speculated to be a cover of Arthur Lee and Love. The liner notes would state "featuring Yoko Ono of IMA fame" as a joke, when in fact it would be a jam session featuring The Melvins and IMA. Almost like some kind of demented variety show. Lots of improv on that, and sometimes nothing but improv on some "special" shows around then. In 2012, Mark Deutrom would comment about "Dallas", stating: "L7 was large clubs. "Zodiac" would actually be the band Brutal Truth covering the song. "Poison" is the Melvin's mix of the track on Wayne Kramer's album The Hard Stuff, originally by his band MC5. "Forgotten Principles" originally appeared in the same demo sessions as Mangled Demos From 1983. Many of the songs would comprise of unreleased demos, live cuts, sound collages and outtakes from Houdini, Stoner Witch and Stag.
